11 February 2020 Current Events Three Species from India Enters the List of CMS

Three species out of ten endangered species of migratory birds/animals across the globe will be included in a special global list for protection under the 'Convention on Conservation of Migratory Species' (CMS). The three Indian species are Great Indian Bustard, Asian Elephant, and Bengal Florican. The respective countries of the species will provide a list issues of that affecting migratory species at a conference in Gandhinagar from February 15 to 22.


Counting of Votes Began for Delhi Elections 2020

Delhi Assembly Election Results 2020: The counting of votes in Delhi began at 8 in the morning amid tight security. The counting is taking place at 21 centres across the city. As per the report, out of over 1.4 crore eligible voters, 62.59% voter turned out at the polling booth. And out of 1,47,86,382 total number of eligible voters - there are 66,80,277 female voters and 1,47,86,382 male voters and 869 third gender voters. Besides, there were 13,571 polling stations at 2,688 locations.
