11 July 2019 Current Events US Green Card More Accessible to Indian Professionals


US House of Representatives has recently passed a bill, Fairness of High-Skilled Immigrants Act, 2019, regarding the revision of country cap on issuing green cards for living and working permanently in the US. This is good news for all the Indian talented professionals, wishing to seek job and permanent residency in the United States. Currently, the US government issues green card to just 7% of its immigrants from a country during a year. Interestingly, this new bill has increased the percentage up to 15%. This would surely change the lives of thousands of immigrants and highly skilled Indian IT professionals.
