India records another highest single-day spike with 9,996 cases till Thursday at 8 a.m. The additional new cases are taking the country's total tally to 2,86,579. The country also registered its highest fatalities with 357 deaths as per the Union Health Ministry. Further, the number of recoveries remained more than the active Coronavirus cases for the second consecutive day. As per the data, the number of active Coronavirus cases in the country stands at 1,37,448. In total, 1,41,028 people have recovered, and one patient has migrated to another country.
