Uproar in Shiv Sena over MNS extending support to BJP

There has been uproar in the Shiv Sena after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena or MNS, has taken the decision to extend support to the BJP in Maharashtra though decided it will not join the NDA. Shiv Sena has become strict in its stance when there was this development where Nitin Gadkari is said to have asked for MNS support openly. Raj Thackeray was also asked not to contest at the Lok Sabha polls. Raj Thackeray announced support to Modi and pitched Lok Sabha candidates opposite Shiv Sena in the state excluding Pune. To this Shiv Sena had maintained silence but it was enough to embarrass BJP which urged MNS to offer support to NDA in totality. Since then there was a public demand among the Shiv Sainiks to break the alliance which was 25 years old. After this BJP Chief in Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis had a talk with Uddhav Thackeray specifying that the present five-party NDA will not be hampered in any way in Maharashtra. In fact a meeting is scheduled between Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Uddhav Thackeray. Also Modi and Rajnath Singh called up Thackeray to give assurance that the alliance with Shiv Sena was for keeps.
