SC allows Diesel taxis to ply on Delhi/NCR roads

The Supreme Court has lifted the ban on diesel taxis carrying India tourist permit. These taxis can resume operations in Delhi and NCR till their respective permit expires. The court has ruled that no new diesel taxis (carrying an all-India tourist permit) would be allowed to perform point to point service within the NCR. Additionally, registration of new diesel taxis has been banned by the top court.

SC instructs Mah govt. to grant license to 8 dance bars

The Supreme Court has slammed the Maharashtra government for delaying the process of granting license to dance bars in Mumbai. It has directed the state government to grant license to eight dance bars within two days. After receiving a complaint from the counsel of bar owners, regarding delay in granting licenses; Justice Dipak Misra stressed on maintenance of constitutional norms. 

Uttarakhand Trust Vote Results to be announced today

With the floor test in Uttarakhand getting over yesterday, the results for the same would be declared by the Supreme Court, today. Congress camp has been claiming victory in the Uttarakhan Trust polls, pointing out Rawat getting the support of 33 out of a total 61 MLAs with BJP getting support of just 28 MLAs.
