Vin Diesel Receives Traditional Welcome in Mumbai

Mark Sinclair, more popularly known as Vin Diesel today landed in Mumbai with his xXx co-star Deepika Padukone and xXx director DJ Caruso where they received a pleasant traditional welcome at Kalina Airport.

After the warm welcome, Diesel took the VIP exit and headed to St. Regis hotel where he will be staying for the rest of his trip.

Reports say that Diesel will stay in India for a couple of days. He will be tied up with fan meet, press interaction and a grand premiere of xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.

Mumbai Twitter User Informs Sushma Swaraj about Indian Flag Doormat on Amazon

A Twitter user from Mumbai brought it to the notice of India’s external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj that Amazon.com is selling doormats that resemble Indian tri-colour flag from its Canadian website. Upon this, the Indian government threatened to rescind visas of the employees of the company if they continued selling the product.

However, the doormat appeared to be taken down on Wednesday, as it is not found in the search results anymore, though Amazon.com has not confirmed yet about removing it.

Supreme Court Turns Down Plea for Jallikattu in Tamil Nadu

The Supreme Court turned down the appeal where its intervention was sought to pass a judgment on Jallikattu before Saturday. According to the apex court, the draft of the judgment has already been prepared but delivering a verdict before Saturday will not be possible.

The apex had banned the sport in 2014 on the grounds of animal cruelty. However, it upheld the order last year after dismissing the review petition of the state government.

Tamil Nadu chief minister O Panneerselvam had mentioned that the government will make sure that the people can enjoy the sport in the rural areas of Tamil Nadu.
