12 January 2018 Current Events Ministry of Home Affairs says 'No" to plastic flags

The Ministry of Home Affairs has released an advisory to State and Union Territories which clearly states not to use the flags made of plastic. As per MHA, if anyone is found with a plastic flag this Republic Day, he will face severe consequences. Both fine and imprisonment can be imposed on the person. The order is passed in accordance with Section 2 of the prevention of insults to National Honour Act of 1971


Gallup international survey: PM Modi ranked among Top 3 Leaders of the World

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been ranked third among the Global leaders in a survey conducted by the Gallup International. According to the reports, the top position was secured by French President Emmanuel Macron followed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. As per the survey, PM Modi is ahead of US Prime Minister Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in terms of popularity


ISRO successfully launches its 100th satellite in first space mission of 2018

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched its 100th satellite on Friday. The launch took place at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. As per the reports, all the nano satellites have been successfully separated. Cartosat-2, which is a weather observation satellite, is being carried by the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle(PSLV-C40) and is accompanied by 30 other satellites. It is the 42nd mission of PSLV-C40.
