13 August 2020 Current Events PM Narendra Modi Launches New Tax Reforms

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi disclosed a new tax scheme to encourage and honour the honest taxpayers of the country. PM Modi launched the 'Transparent Taxation - Honoring the Honest' through video-conferencing to reform and simplify the tax system in India, as the Union government is adamant about rebuilding the economy again, which is badly hit by COVID-19. At the event, the Prime Minister said that the new tax reforms would change the way taxes have been paid in the country. Various industrialists like Ratan Tata, Anand Mahindra, and Uday Kotak attended the virtual launch.
