CBFC chairman Pahlaj Nihalani said that the Censor board has cleared the much talked about Bollywood film 'Udta Punjab' with 13 cuts under the 'A' category. Nihalani had been attacked by the Bollywood film industry for suggesting a large number of cuts in the movie which is themed on the drug problem of Punjab. The nine members of the Central Board of Film Certification cleared the film "unanimously" after the proposed 13 cuts.
The Delhi Government has imposed a fine of over Rs. 700 crore on five private hospitals in the capital for not providing free healthcare to the economically poor. The hospitals have been asked to deposit "unwarranted profits" of more than Rs. 700 crore that they made by denying treatment to patients from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). The hospitals say the order is unfair and that they will challenge it in the court.
