13 March 2020 Current Events India Reports its First Fatality from Coronavirus in the State of Karnataka

India gets its first fatality from Covid-19 in the state of Karnataka. A 76-year-old man from Kalaburgi was tested positive on Thursday and had a travel history to Saudi Arabia. His throat swab samples had been received at a Bengaluru lab on March 11 (Coronavirus Pandemic Live Updates). An official from Karnataka health and family welfare department stated that the senior citizen arrived from a Covid-19 affected country, i.e. Saudi Arabia. The officials have also said that his symptoms were misleading and tests were delayed due to his health complications such as hypertension, breathing and asthma.
