Arvind Kejriwal sworn in as Chief Minister of Delhi

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal was sworn in as chief minister of Delhi by Lt Governor Najeeb Jung. The oath taking ceremony took place at the Ramlila Maidan. Along with him Manish Sisodia and other six ministers took. Manish Sisodia is a new deputy CM, Satyedra Jain will handle Power Ministry, Health, Industries, PWD and IFC, Gopal Rai will take care Transport, Development, Labour, General Administration Department and Employment, Asim Mohammed Khan will look after Food and Civil Supply, Environment and Forest, and election departments, Sandeep Kumar will handle Ministry of Women and Child Social Welfare, Language, SC/ST and Jitendra Singh Tomar will take care Law and Justice, Home, Tourism, Art and Culture.

Google is all set to bring Project Loon in India

As per media report Google is ready to bring its Internet project “Project Loon” to India for providing connectivity in remote areas. In this project high-altitude balloons will be used for Internet access in remote areas. These balloons will be placed 20 km above the earth. Google had installed its pilot project in New Zealand where 30 such balloons were launched. Along with this technological development, Facebook has also announced in India.

Kerala's National winners will be given Govt job and cash prize

Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy has announced cash prizes and jobs for all the athletes who won medals for the state in the 35th National Games this year. All the gold, silver and bronze medal winners will be accommodated by creating more jobs. Winners who are already doing jobs will be given increment. Kerala won 54 gold, 48 silver and 60 bronze medals and came second in the overall score tally.

Arvind Kejriwal to Take Oath as Delhi's CM at Ramlila Grounds

Today is a big day for AAP as Arvind Kejriwal will take oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi along with his other partymen at the Ramlila grounds. He has invited all common men of Delhi by reciting a poetry in radio ads. As per media reports, a VIP enclosure will only be used by the one who are invited by the Lieutenant Governor and the Central Government. Arvind Kejriwal is likely to share information about the priorities of his government after the ceremony.

Supreme Court Stays Arrest of Activist Couple till February 19

Arrest of activist Teesta Setalvad and her husband Javed Anand has been put on hold by the Supreme Court till February 19. In a half an hour long hearing, advocate and Congress leader Kapil Sibal stated that the BJP is targeting the activist couple. Former ASG Indira Jaising, sitting in the audience, intervened and accused Teesta for using the funds of NGO for buying branded clothes and shoes. She was then asked not to intervene. The bench also heard Additional Solicitor General, Tushar Mehta, representing the government of Gujarat.

Jet Airways offers Discounted Fares on Valentine's Day

Jet Airways is celebrating Valentine's Day by offering a discount on fares on international routes as well as on customised travel packages for domestic destinations from February 13 to 15. Flights from India to Paris, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Colombo and Kathmandu have also been covered under special fares. This will include return travel for two or more people in business and economy class.
