What Happened on 14 February 2017


Handwara: Militants Killed, Soldier Injured

As per reports, during the second encounter between security forces and militants in Hajin Kralgund village in Handwara area in north Kashmir, three militants were killed, leaving an army soldier wounded. One of the militant’s identity has not been ascertained yet.

In another encounter in Hajin, three army soldiers and a militant were killed.





Sasikala Arrested by SC in DA Case

AIADMK general secretary Sasikala has been arrested by the Supreme Court on Tuesday in the disproportionate assets case. This decision ended her bid to become the Tamil Nadu chief minister.

Reports say that Sasikala has been asked by the court to surrender immediately. Along with her, others who were involved in the case, will be serving the remaining part of the sentence.
