14 January 2020 Current Events Gallantry Awards Likely to be Stripped Off Davinder Singh

Davinder Singh, the deputy superintendent was taken into the custody on Saturday on the grounds of helping terrorists in 2001 Parliament attack. He confessed to the interrogators that he had received Rs 12 lakh from the terrorists to transport them to Jammu and then Chandigarh for their continuing journey to New Delhi, IG (Kashmir). On Monday, the DSP was suspended and it is also probable that he will be stripped off his Gallantry Medal awards. He first came to light in the matter when Afzal Guru took his name during his trial court. But back then, all the allegations against him was dismissed by the intelligence agencies and state police as well.
