UDIAI says the requirement of Aadhar for opening bank account and for applying tatkal passports will continue

The deadline for linking bank accounts and PAN with Aadhar has been extended indefinitely. As per The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the requirement of Aadhaar for opening new bank accounts or applying for Tatkal passports will continue. UIDAI further said those who do not have Aadhar can apply for it and provide the Aadhaar application number while applying for availing the aforesaid services.

Commonwealth Games: Sardar Singh dropped from hockey squad

The upcoming Commonwealth Games are to be held at Gold Coast, Australia. India has announced its men's hockey squad which consists of 18 members. Although Sardar Singh has been dropped from the hockey squad, seasoned goalkeeper PR Sreejesh makes a comeback after having suffered a medial collateral ligament injury during the Azlan Shah tournament last year.
