BJP will not be able to contest from Nilgiris

BJP unit in Tamil Nadu is fuming as its candidates failed to file the nomination papers on time in Nilgiris. The supporters and party leaders enraged with the outcome wants the party to delve deeply into why such a thing happened and make those failing to do so accountable. The damage has been done and it will hurt more as Nilgiris was considered a seat which can be won. S. Gurumurthy, the candidate in question stated that he could not reach on time as his car broke down though he has no takers for this reason. What is more surprising is the fact that the standby candidate too had the same story and could not file the nomination paper. Now the tussle will be between AIADMK and DMK leader, A. Raja on April 24. The party will now contest in 7 constituencies in place of 8. An enquiry has been called to look into the issue.
