15 June 2019 Current Events Cyclone 'Vayu' to Recurve to Gujarat Coast in 48 hours

Cyclone Vayu was predicted to make a landfall in Gujarat, but it has changed its course on Wednesday and Thursday. However, as per the latest information by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), it is likely to move towards the state again in next 48 hours. Further, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that there's no longer any threat to the state from Vayu. And the officials from Earth Ministry stated that the intensity of the 'severe cyclone' will be less and will hit the coast as a deep depression.


Mass Resignation in India's Healthcare Sector

Bengal's healthcare sector is collapsing as nearly 700 government doctors have tendered resignation to stand together in solidarity with their colleagues. This unprecedented number of resignations is a result of West Bengal Chief Minister's retaliation where she has given an ultimatum to SSKM hospital to get back to duty or they'll face an action by the government. This ultimatum has created a stir among the doctors all over the country including AIIMS, Delhi and Safdarjung hospital, Delhi.
