All England Championship: Saina crashes out

The Indian Star shuttler Saina Nehwal made a first-round exit from the All England Championship at Birmingham on Thursday. Saina was defeated by the World number one Tai Tzu-Ying from Chinese Taipei. This was the eighth successive loss of Saina to the Taiwanese wizard in five years. Another Indian player, Kidambi Srikanth was able to progress to the quarterfinals after beating Frenchman Brice Leverdez.

Special CBI court to pass a verdict in Fodder Scam

A special CBI court in Ranchi is going to pronounce its judgment in the fourth fodder scam case which involves the former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday. Besides the former RJD President, another former Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra and 30 others are accused in this case.

Another fraud of worth 9 crores detected in a branch of Punjab National Bank

India's Punjab National Bank has detected a new fraud worth 9 crores in the same branch of Mumbai which is the centre of the fraud worth 2 billion dollars in the Nirav Modi case. According to a complaint with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the new alleged fraud involves officials of a little-known company called Chandri Paper and Allied Products Pvt Ltd.
