16 June 2020 Current Events Vande Bharat Mission: Under Phase III, Nearly 156 Indians were Repatriated from Sri Lanka

Under the third phase of Vande Bharat Mission, nearly 156 Indians in Sri Lanka, were flown back home to India on Monday. So far, over 1,000 Indians returned from Sri Lanka in several flights and the Indian Navy Ship INS Jalashwa, since the first phase of the evacuation mission starting May 27, 2020. Indian High Commissioner Gopal Baglay met the Indian nationals at the Bandaranaike International Airport to bid them a safe journey. The next Air India special flight from Colombo to Delhi, Lucknow and Gaya is scheduled on June 22 as per the release report.
