17 February 2020 Current Events Nitish Kumar Proposes Alcohol Ban in Entire Country

Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister of Bihar has put forward a suggestion to make India a dry nation as it was Mahatma Gandhi's dream. During his speech at a convention on 'Liquor-Free India', he said that Mahatma Gandhi was in favour of it as alcohol destroys lives. He further added that the ban should not be restricted to one state, but it should banned in entire nation. Earlier, alcohol ban was imposed in Bihar by then Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur, however that could not be carried out completely.
