2 children dead, 7 badly injured after getting electrocuted in Bihar

Two children succumbed to their injuries while 7 children were severely burnt after they were electrocuted after their school bus touched a high voltage live wire in Bihar's Saran district on Wednesday. The live wire was hanging from a pole which carried 11,000 volt current in it.

BS Yeddyurappa of BJP sworn as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka

BJP's BS Yeddyurappa took oath as Karnataka's new chief minister this morning. A petition was filed in the court challenging the decision of the Karnataka's Governor Vajubhai Vala by the Congress and the Janata Dal Secular. The Supreme Court in a rare overnight hearing supported the decision of the Governor and let BJP legislative party leader BS Yeddyurappa swearing-in as the next Chief Minister of Karnataka.

Four tribal students from Maharashtra climb Mount Everest

Four tribal students from Chandrapur district of Maharashtra have successfully climbed the Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world in the early morning hours of Wednesday. These students were selected to participate in the Everest expedition of the Tribal Development department's 'Mission Shaurya 2018'. The names of the students are Umakant Madavi (19), Parmesh Ale (19), Manisha Dhurve (18) and Kavidas Kathmode (18).
