While addressing an event organised by Assocham in New Delhi, the Ayushman Bharat CEO Indu Bhusan said that 10 lakh jobs will be created in the health insurance sector under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. He further said the scheme is going to benefit the private sector and the quality of healthcare in public services will also be improved. As per reports, under this scheme over 10.7 crore families from vulnerable section will be getting a health cover of five lakh rupees annually for the treatment.
The Uttar Pradesh cabinet has adopted a proposal of renaming the historical city of Allahabad as Prayagraj. The move was opposed by the opposition parties of the state. Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has also criticised the decision. As per sources, Allahabad University and Allahabad High Court will be renamed soon. The move has been considered as a masterstroke of BJP just before the Kumbh Mela and also the 2019 General Elections.
