The first double decker flyover in the country opened for public in Mumbai as per media reports. The Santacruz-Chembur Link Road will be curtailing the travel time from 90 min to just 20 min. the project is worth $ 4.5 million. The work on this started since 2006.
As many as 27 people have died and 30 were injured when a severe dust storm hit Uttar Pradesh. The severe winds uprooted trees and electric poles and led to house collapse according to the reports in the media. The storm was due to the effect of western disturbances developing in Rajasthan.
As per media reports a video featuring Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar had created controversy wherein he had warned the villagers at Baramati in Maharashtra that if anyone tried to create trouble which was by not voting for his cousin Supriya Sule he would snap the water supply of the village. According to media reports, Narendra Modi has stated he will not indulge in divisive politics if that entails to him not winning the elections. He further specified he will not be asking for votes from Muslim or any specific communities but would ask fellow Indians for that. He also added that the country has suffered a lot due to pseudo secularism.
Yusuf Pathan, the KKR allrounder had to leave for India immediately after the KKR and Mumbai Indians match as he has been blessed with a baby boy. As per media reports Pathan has said he would dedicate an innings for his son. Pathan will miss the KKR match on April 19 but would join for match on April 24.
