Landslide due to nightlong rain suspended Jammu and Srinagar Highway

Heavy rainfall resulted in landslide has blocked the Jammu-Srinagar highway in the Ramban sector. Vehicular traffic has come to halt. Also the passengers planning to travel in and outside the state are advised to speak to the traffic control room in Jammu and Srinagar. According to the media report nightlong rain has caused the landslide in Ramban sector which is at a distance of 150 km from Jammu.

Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and three more AAP leaders warned by the court

A warning to former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and three more AAP leaders, Manish Sisodia, Prashant Bhushan and Shazia Ilmi, has been given by the court. The court has said that strict action will be taken against them if they will not appear before court on the next date of hearing. As per the media report the next hearing is on May 24 and metropolitan Magistrate Sunil Kumar Sharma warned to start coercive process in case of default.

Rajasthan Royals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL

Rajasthan Royals won the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad by four wickets. The match of the Indian Premier League was played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Hyderabad scored 133 for six whereas Rajasthan Royals scored 135 for six in 19.3 overs. Ajinkya Rahane of Rajasthan Royals scored 59 runs, Stuart Binny 48 not out, Dale Steyn and Amit Mishra took two wickets each. Shikhar Dhawan of Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 38, David Warner 32, Dhawal Kulkarni and Rajat Bhatia took two wickets each.

Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Ltd made net profit of Rs 21.984 crore in 2013-14

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) led by Mukesh Ambani made the net profit of Rs.21.984 crore in the just ended fiscal year 2013-14. Higher prices have led to 7.7 percent growth in revenue while volume increase has led to 0.4 percent growth in revenue. According to the media reports exports of RIL were also higher by 15.3 percent in 2013-14 as compared to the export in the fiscal year 2012-13. Now RIL is putting extra efforts to turn out 4G services in the telecom sector.

Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy will not contest 2014 Lok Sabha election

Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and the president of Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP) N. Kiran Kumar Reddy is not contesting election. Instead he has projected his brother from Pileru assembly constituency in Chittoor district in Seemandhra as per the media report. He however will campaign for the party. Reddy resigned the Congress party as well as from the post of the chief minister after the bill to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh was passed by the parliament in February this year. Polling in Seemandhra is going to take place on May 7.
