Yogi Adityanath Takes Oath as UP CM, BJP Balances Caste Politics with Two Deputies

44 year old Yogi Adityanath (a five-term MP from Gorakhpur) has taken oath as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh after being unanimously elected as BJP legislature party leader by the newly elected UP BJP MLAs.

The swearing in ceremony took place at Kanshiram Smriti Upvan, attended by PM Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP veteran Lal Krishna Advani, and many other leaders.

49 ministers also took oath including two deputy Chief Minister designates - Keshav Prasad Maurya (BJP Chief of UP) and Dinesh Sharma (Lucknow Mayor).

Murli Manohar Joshi said that he expects ‘sabka saath and sabka vikaas’ from Yogi Adityanath.

Delhi Metro Restricted from Tonight to Handle Jat Agitation

With Jat agitation about to hit Delhi’s Jantar Mantar tomorrow, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced curtailment in metro services from Sunday night.

Reports say metro services outside Delhi will be halted from 11.30pm tonight till further notice. From 8pm onwards today, 12 metro stations in central Delhi will be shut down.

The affected stations are Shivaji Stadium, Khan Market, Pragati Maidan, R.K. Ashram Marg, Barakhamba Road, Mandi House, Janpath, Lok Kalyan Marg, Udyog Bhavan, Central Secretariat, Patel Chowk, and Rajiv Chowk.

However, DMRC officials have said that interchange facility at all interchange stations will be available.

Xiaomi Redmi 4A to be Launched on Monday, To Cost Around Rs. 6,000

Xiaomi is all set to launch its newest budget phone – Xiaomi Redmi 4A - in India on March 20 at an estimated cost of around Rs. 6,000.

Reports say that Redmi 4A will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. Other important features include 2GB RAM, 16GB internal support, microSD card storage compatibility, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and 3,120mAh battery.

Redmi 4A will come with MIUI 8 interface (based on older Android Marshmallow).
