20 December 2019 Current Events Earthquake Tremors Felt in Delhi NCR

Tremors of earthquake felt in some parts of Delhi NCR. As per US Geological Survey, the magnitude of the earthquake was 4.4 on the Richter Scale. Apart from Delhi, states of Punjab, Haryana, and Kashmir has also felt the tremors. Murghob, Tajikistan is the epicentre. Today, earthquake tremors were felt in Pakistan as well around 5 pm with 190 km depth. No major casualties has been reported so far.

12 Assam BJP MLAs Meet CM to Convince PM to End Stir

The ongoing stir over Citizenship Amendment Act has intensified across the country. Meanwhile, twelve Assam BJP legislators urged chief minister  Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday to convince the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resolve the crisis following the passing of the Citizenship Bill Act. The legislators were anxious to know the state government's planning for protecting the language and culture of the Assamese people, which is raised due to the passing of the amendment act. However, mobile services have been resumed in Assam on Friday after ten days lull.
