20 May 2019 Current Events India faces delay in monsoon due to Cyclone in West Pacific

Climate Prediction Centre (CPC) of the United States (US) National Weather Service reports that India could be facing a delay in monsoon due to the suppression of Madden -Julian Oscillation (MJO) Wave. However it also confirms that the temperature and the process of cloud building and rainfall will gather pace at the end of May 2019. As per India Met Department (IMD), monsoon has entered southern parts of Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal, and looks set to advance in the next three days.
