CWC meets to charter roadmap for Rahul Gandhi's elevation to president

A meeting of the Congress Working Committee was held in New Delhi on Monday to charter a roadmap for the elevation of Rahul Gandhi, Vice President of the Congress, to the post of the President ahead of the Gujarat elections. Media reports quoted party leaders as saying that on December 16, an internal voting will be held to choose the new party president. Rahul Gandhi is expected to take over in the first week of December ahead of the elections.
