2G Spectrum: Verdict on India's biggest 2G scam to come today

A special CBI court in New Delhi is going to pronounce the verdict on India's biggest 2G scam on December 21, Thursday. The court will decide if the former telecom minister A Raja is guilty or not. CBI along with Enforcement Directorate has lodged a case against the former telecom minister, DMK MP Kanimozhi, and others. The trial for this 2G scam began in 2011. It was stated that the state suffered a loss of around 1.76 lakh crores because of this fraud.

Indian Air Force submits RFP(Request for Proposal) to HAL, requests 83 Tejas light combat aircrafts

Indian Air Force has forwarded a formal request(Request For Proposal) to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited(HAL) for additional 83 Tejas light combat aircrafts on December 20, Wednesday. It also includes 73 Mark-1A upgraded versions and 10 trainer versions of the LCA. The response from HAL will be provided within 3 months. Two contracts are already signed between IAF and HAL. First for acquiring 20 Initial Operational Clearance (IOC) standard aircraft and another for 20 Final Operational Clearance (FOC) standard aircraft.
