BMC Election 2017: B-Town Celebrities Cast their Votes

As per reports, actresses Anushka Sharma and Rekha were seen casting their votes for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections on Tuesday. Anushka Sharma even shared her picture on Instagram showing her inked finger. Other Bollywood celebrities are also expected to cast their votes as a duty towards the country & its progress.

Sasikala's Lawyers Trying to Transfer her to Chennai Jail

As per reports, AIADMK general secretary Sasikala's lawyers are trying to get her transferred to Chennai's Puzhal Central Prison from Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara jail. According to procedures, her lawyers would be required to apply either to the superintendent of Parappana Agrahara jail or they will have to approach the Karnataka law minister.

Reports also say that the law ministry will be considering the legal options.

Conviction of Sasikala and her relatives J Ilavarasi and V N Sudhakara on charges of the disproportionate assets case was upheld by the Supreme Court on 14 February.
