What Happened on 22 August 2016


Medium Intensity Earthquake Hits Delhi NCR

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake has hit the national capital and its adjoining regions on Monday. The epicenter of the earthquake was Mahendragarh. At a depth 10 km, the quake occurred at around 2.50 pm. There has been no report of any kind of loss or injury. In the early hours of the day, earthquake with same magnitude hit Kohima as well.

Telangana Deputy CM Talks About Providing Better Coaching to Sindhu

On the arrival of PV Sindhu to India after winning silver medal in the Rio Olympics, the Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Mahmood Ali stated that the government is planning to provide Sindhu with even better coaching so that next time she comes back with a gold. He also said that her present coach Gopichand is good but she would need better training for a gold in the future.
