22 July 2020 Current Events Delhi Airport Issues New Covid-19 Guidelines for International Passengers

A fresh Covid-19 guideline has been issued by Delhi airport, which says that 7-day quarantine is mandatory for international passengers. The seven days of institutional quarantine will be at the passenger's own cost, followed by one week of home quarantine. Further, the passengers are also asked to sign an undertaking that they accept this obligation, which will be retained by the overseas mission/embassy before the booking is confirmed. Passengers who are planning to stay in Delhi-NCR will have to undergo mandatory screening - first by airport health officials and then at the Delhi government post. The guidelines also say that exemption will be given to only four categories of people; pregnant women, who have suffered death in the family, suffering from a severe illness, and parents of children below 10 years of age.
