Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi praise one another

On the 9th anniversary of the UPA government, its two important figures Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi praised one another.

After ending his speech, Manmohan Singh spoke about Sonia Gandhi's "inspiring leadership". He said that the coalition government was strong-minded to transform people's lives.

Sonia Gandhi, in her speech was all praise for the prime minister. She said that the PM had been carrying out his responsibilities with "great dignity" during the last nine years despite of "unrelenting hostility" from the opposition. She also said that, "we respect him and we all stand by him".

Sara Soule plans to increase Ruosh outlets

The Bangalore based shoe exporter, Sara Soule Pvt. Ltd, is planning to expand its Ruosh men's footwear retail chain by next year in March.

They will sign up with some multibrand outlets and online retailers.

At present the Sara Soule has eight Ruosh stores.

The Ruosh premium range of shoes starts from Rs.2490 and goes up till Rs.14990.

The company also sells other products like socks, wallets, shoe polish, brush, belts, etc under the same brand.

India and China favor more cooperation in the health sector

India and China have decided to strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of maternal & child health, infectious diseases and other rising health challenges.

The discussions took place between the Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Li Bin on the sidelines of the world health assembly in Geneva.

The health minister said that the two countries can learn a lot from each other.

Responding to him, Chinese Health Minister Li Bin stressed the need to have more cooperation in the health-care sector.

Ajit Chandila was to do spot fixing in another IPL match

The police claimed that Ajit Chandila of Rajasthan Royals was about to engage in spot-fixing in another IPL match for which he had taken Rs.15 lakh from a bookie based in Punjab.

During police interrogation, he revealed the name of another bookie in Punjab.

Delhi Police said that "four sets" of people were involved in a spot-fixing racket have surfaced when they interrogated the three Rajasthan Royals players along with the 15 bookies from Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Delhi.

Aamir Khan supported Kiran to present 'Ship of Theseus'

Film maker Kiran Rao said that her husband Aamir Khan supported her to present Anand Gandhi's directorial Ship of Theseus. She said that he really liked the film and will give it a special release.

Kiran has no plans till now to start a separate production house but wants to be involved with this film in a good way.

Ship of Theseus is scheduled to release on July 19. It has already been to various film festivals.
