22 May 2017 Current Events Left Protesters in Kolkata Clash with Police over Anti-farmer Policy

As per reports, clash between left workers led by farmers union and police personnel took place outside the West Bengal Secretariat in Kolkata on Monday.

The incident happened during ‘Nabanno Abhijan’ in which farmers demanded fair price for their production and to maintain communal harmony.

Reports also say that left protesters included democratic rights of people in the state and food security for the people in their demand.
