IAF Successfully Test Fired BrahMos from Sukhoi 30-MKI
In a first for India and the world, BrahMos was test fired on 22 November 2017 from IAF's Sukhoi 30-MKI. Counted among the heaviest missiles in the world, BrahMos will be integrated on IAF's frontline fighter jet. The missile which essentially adds to India's strike capabilities can be launched in either vertical or inclined configuration, depending on the type of the ship. Development of higher range for the missile is also underway.
