BJP leader Jairam Thakur will be the new chief minister of Himachal Pradesh. 52-year-old Thakur will be the first leader from Mandi to lead the state. The five-time MLA from Seraj in Mandi became the frontrunner for the post of the CM of the hill state following the defeat of Prem Kumar Dhumal in the 2017 assembly polls.
