Under-construction building collapses in Ghaziabad, kills 2 injures 8

A five-storey under-construction building fell down in Akash Nagar area of Ghaziabad killing two and injuring eight people in the incident on Sunday. This final number of affected victims came after the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were roped in to conduct the rescue operations. Four supervisors of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) have been suspended. 

Modi becomes first PM to visit an East African country

Narendra Modi became the first prime minister to go on an official tour to Rwanda, an East African country. He began this tour by first making a visit to Rwanda on Monday. 

Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Bill, 2017 passes in Lok Sabha

The Lok Sabha passed the Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Bill, 2017, and decreased the number of cases pending in the court relating to the dishonoring of cheques. This bill has replaced the earlier Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and will focus on dealing with the unecessary delays caused in the disposal of such cases.
