PM Narendra Modi reaching Portugal as part of his three-nation tour

According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be reaching Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, on the first leg of his three-nation tour. Modi will meet the Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa. The two leaders will also review the progress of various joint initiatives and exchange ideas about the new areas of partnership. 

According to reports, the Prime Minister will interact with the Indian community before heading for the US.

India, Russia agree to roadmap for development of defence co-operation

According to reports, India and Russia has reached an agreement to a road map for development of bilateral defence cooperation. This was discussed at the 17th meeting of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military Technical Cooperation held in Moscow. 

The report states that the roadmap includes specific activities to be concluded by both sides, and aims to enhance cooperation in the field of political and military dialogue, exercises, exchange of visits, military cooperation and training of military personnel.
