As per reports, IITs and other such institutions have been asked by the HRD ministry to scrap the courses and branches in which numbers of applicants have been seen declining in the past three years. The institutions have also been asked by the ministry to analyse market opportunity, employability and requirement of higher education and accordingly introduce new courses.
As per reports, Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad was banned by the top airlines including Air India, IndiGo, Jet Airways, SpiceJet and GoAir, from flying on their aircrafts with immediate effect. Reportedly an Air India staffer was assaulted by Gaikwad over a seat, following which the airlines banned him.
However, Gaikwad refused to apologise.
The incident has been condemned by Shiv Sena and asked Gaikwad to come up with an explanation. The party clarified that they are against violence.
