25 November 2019 Current Events Delhi: Chayyos Uses Facial Recognition Without Consent

A popular retail chain in Delhi, Chayoos has now an alternate method of fulfilling orders from customers. Instead of One Time Password (OTP) feature which is required in each order, it has deployed facial scanning feature to bill its customers. This new feature owned by the company, Delhi-based Sunshine Teahouse is not the new one, however has managed to raise regarding previous of the customers. Nikhil Pahwa, an internet activist, has criticized the cafe chain by taking it to twitter questioning consent.
