25 September 2019 Current Events PM Modi Received Award for Swachh Bharat Campaign

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred with Goalkeepers Global Goals Award for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign. The award was presented by Microsoft founder Bill Gates at UN General Assembly meeting in New York City. PM was honoured with this award at the occasion of Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary. The Swachh Bharat campaign was first launched in October 2014 by Narendra Modi as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. The motive behind this campaign was to eradicate open-defecation and improve cleanliness through solid and liquid waste management.
