27 August 2018 Current Events Maldives to retain two Indian military helicopters, along with crew and support staff

The Maldives after several rounds of discussions with the government has finally decided to retain the two Indian military helicopters along with their crew and support staff for the next few months. Initially, the island nation rejected the idea of retaining them, but later on, it decided to retain these choppers along with its staff and crew.


Construction of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to commence from December this year

The construction work of the projected Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will commence from December this year, said Nitin Gadkari. The impressive project was first made public in the month of April this year with an estimated cost of around Rs. 1 trillion. The highway will be connecting Delhi to Mumbai bringing the commuting time down by 50 percent for cars and trucks. There will also be a fall of 200 km in the distance. The construction work of this highway will get completed in the next three years and will commence at 40 different locations at one go to speed up the construction process.
