Noor Mohammad Tantrey, also called “Merchant of Death” by a special court in Delhi, was killed by the government forces. He was reported as the commander of a Pakistan-based militant group named Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). A fierce gun battle took place between Tantrey and government forces as reported by the Police which ultimately led to his elimination.
Five times MLA Jairam Thakur will take oath as Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh today. The swearing ceremony will be attended by Amit Shah, the president of Bhartiya Janta Party and various other prominent ministers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present at the ceremony.
