27 February 2019 Current Events External Minister Sushma Swaraj meets Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi

The External Minister of India, Sushma Swaraj met with Chinese Foreign Minister this morning for a bilateral meeting. In the meeting, she raised the issue of the recent Pulwama attack which took place in Jammu and Kashmir. 40 CRPF personnel were killed in the attack. She termed the Pulwama attack as the worst attack directed against the security forces. Swaraj highlighted that Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a Pakistan-based and supported terrorist organisation conducted the attack. She urged for cooperation and emphasised on improving the bilateral ties. Swaraj will also be meeting her Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov today.
