Centre Not to Hold Talks with Separatist Leaders

As per reports, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are asking for a six times hike in their post-graduate course fee. The reason has been mentioned as lessening the financial burden on the institutions when government is pushing for more revenue generation.
All the 23 IITs, their board chairmen and top officials from the human resource development ministry, are going to take a call on this by the evening in Mumbai.

As per reports, Centre has told the Supreme Court that it will not hold any talks with separatists or people who are demanding ‘azaadi’.
The Jammu and Kashmir Bar Association wanted centre to hold a meeting with the Huriyat leaders. On this, the Centre told the Supreme Court that it will talk only to people who are legally permitted to represent the public of the state.
However, after discussions, the SC said that the Bar Association will talk to stakeholders on 9 May.
