For the attacks made by Subramaniam Swamy, BJP Rajya Sabha member, on RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan and other senior officials of the Finance Ministry, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a stand. He snubbed Swamy by saying that 'such things are inappropriate'. He mentioned that Raghuram Ram Rajan is as much a patriot as the others are and the work he has done will always be appreciated.
Others
Bihar student, Ruby Rai has been arrested after she was accused of being an undeserving candidate, who topped her board exams. When she was asked questions on Political Science, she mispronounced it as 'Prodigal Science'. She later accepted that she cheated and does not deserve to top in the exams. She also said she asked her father to help her passing the exams, but he made her a topper. Patna special SP, Manu Maharaj is handling the case.

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi said that in his meeting last week in Tashkent, India's interests have been conveyed to President, Xi Jinping. The Prime Minister has also mentioned that a coordinated effort for India's entry into the Nuclear Suppliers Group has begun in a positive note with an eye-to eye talk with China. Last week in Seoul, China along with seven other countries had blocked consensus to India for NSG membership.
