28 September 2020 Current Events Karnataka Bandh: Farmers Come on Roads in Protest Against Farm Bills Today

The nationwide agitation by the farmers over the contentious farm bills is not dying. In Karnataka, the state-wide bandh is called by farmers' organizations today in protest against the amendments to the agricultural produce market committee (APMC) and land reforms introduced by the ruling B S Yediyurappa government. Several opposition parties are also showing their solidarity and support to the agitating farmers. Meanwhile, Shiromani Akali Dal has snapped ties with the ruling NDA in the Centre over the farm bills.
