29 June 2019 Current Events 17 Dead due to wall collapse in Pune

As per recent news updates, in Pune a portion of a residential complex collapsed due to continuous heavy rains. Moreover, Police reported to the media persons that most of the victims were labourers from Bengal and Bihar. Meanwhile, Naval Kishore Ram, the district collector of Pune, in one of his statements, said that Government is planning to help victims and the affected families. Around 17 people are reported to have lost their lives due to this collapse. Additionally, K Venkatesham, Police Commissioner of Pune, said that the reason behind the collapse is being investigated and will soon be known. Moreover, strict action will be taken against those found to be guilty of negligence.
