30 April 2020 Current Events UGC Declares Schedule for New Academic Session That Begins from August 1

Educational institutions have been closed to contain the spread of novel coronavirus in India. But the University Grant Commission (UGC) has issued the date sheet of the new academic session. The new session for the students who are enrolled under various programmes will start on August 1. While for the students newly enrolled for classes, their session will commence from September 1, 2020. The admissions for the new session 2020-21 will take place between August 1 to August 31, 2020. UGC has suggested several guidelines for universities. Hence, universities have to decide as per their requirements and the prevailing situation.
