30 July 2020 Current Events Unlock 3.0: Ministry of Home Affairs Issues New Guidelines; Schools and Colleges to Remain Closed Till August 31, 2020

On Wednesday, Unlock 3.0 guidelines have been issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. As per the new guidelines, gymnasiums and yoga institutes have been given permission to function from August 5 and revoking night curfew even as all other activities banned earlier continue to remain prohibited. Prohibited services and events being a metro rail, cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls, and similar places. Social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious functions and other large congregations shall also not be allowed. Further, Unlock 3 will come into effect from August 1, and the process of the phased reopening of activities has been extended further. There is no mention of night curfew in the guidelines, which had been reduced to 9 pm -7 am to 10 pm - 5 am period in Unlock 2.0. Schools, colleges and coaching institutions will remain closed till August 31, 2020.
