Fan: A 'schizophrenic' experience for SRK

With superstar Shahrukh Khan’s Fan all set to release in 2016, the supremely talented actor has expressed his tedious journey of transforming into a 24-year old person everyday using prosthetics. Playing both, a superstar and his fan in the movie ‘Fan’, SRK has had an interesting as well as a schizophrenic experience.

PM Modi launches 14-Lane Delhi-Meerut Expressway

Estimated to cost around Rs 7500 Crore, the Delhi-Meerut highway project was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Popularly known as the “road to freedom from pollution”, this new signal-free highway would connect Meerut to Delhi while doing away with 31-odd traffic signals and cutting down the travel time from two and a half hours to mere 40 minutes.

Punjab road accident kills 9, injures 15

Nine persons were killed and 15 injured when an accident took place at the Mehta village, situated 15 kilometers from Amritsar. The accident occurred after a private bus hit a ‘peter rehra’ (a homemade motorised car carrying labourers) from behind, said the SSP of Amritsar, Jasdeep Singh Saini.

Vidya Balan Hospitalised, diagnosed with kidney stone

The Dirty Picture star, Vidya Balan, along with husband Siddharth Roy Kapoor was on her way to an undisclosed New Year holiday destination when she suffered shooting pain in her back. Soon after de-boarding, Vidya was taken to Mumbai where she was diagnosed with kidney stone and hence admitted to the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai’s Khar area.

Nifty & Sensex open flat on 2015's last day

The last day of the year 2015 saw the Sensex and Nifty open on a flat note ahead of the expiry of derivative December contracts. The year-end holidays account for falling foreign investments, thereby resulting in thin volumes of the stock market.
